I have begun making what I call Lap Pads that can also be used as large hot pads for setting larger hot items on the table. I put Insul bright inside which is a heat resistant batting. The lap pads are to be placed on one's lap under their laptop. It keeps the lap and the computer cool without any hassle/bulky things. The lap pad also works as a quick dust cover for the laptops. I did not get everything lined up perfectly but it came out good enough for its intended use. This one will be for my son-in-law. I really like this paper piecing pattern used to make the treasure box blocks. I'll be working harder next time to keep things lined up because I know I'll be making more of these little treasure box blocks.
