After more research and hearing about others placing fish in with their turtles we decided to do the same. Scooter received one pictus catfish and four small Oscars. She is a very curious turtle and immediately came down from her shelf to investigate! She really seemed to enjoy having fish swimming around in the tank with her.

Everything seemed to be going quite well, with the only exception being that her plastron wasn't getting any better at all. It was beginning to look like it might actually be getting worse.
