FINALLY after waiting way longer than we had planned on, Scooter's filters arrived. We had ordered two Fluval 404's for her tank. I really hate that Scooter remained in non-filtered water for over 10 days. We did water changes but I firmly believe that's just not enough. Her tank was also cloudy during this time due to the lack of filtration.

Look at the difference a good filtration system can make!

By this point we've had Scooter for close to 12 days. Her attitude is still awesome and her aquarium setup is finally starting to look much better. It's obviously better than the bathtub anyway! At the same time her plastron doesn't appear to be getting better at all. It feels a bit softer and if she bangs it on a hard surface a trickle of blood will seep out. Well the vet said it would take time so I just assumed she would need more time. Little did I know....
